Grazing Tables

What is a grazing table?

A table, groaning with seasonal and artisan produce for guests to ‘graze’ and nibble. It usually comprises homemade savouries, artisan cheeses and charcuterie, fruit, nuts, dips, various breads and crackers, homemade condiments such as popcorn, chilli jam etc… You can also have desserts on there – the possibilities are endless. There is very little waste with a grazing table, everything is edible and there is always something for everyone.

How long does it take to set up?

The grazing tables take between 1-2 hours to set up depending on numbers.

How long can I leave the food out for?

The food is temperature controlled right until it is brought to you. Guidelines suggest a maximum of four hours, however, the food will be polished off long before that!

What equipment do I need?

Nothing – I can even provide the table if necessary!

Do I need cutlery and crockery?

No. The beauty of a grazing table is just that: guests can graze and pick. I do provide some small recyclable plates and napkins in keeping with the feel of the table.

How will I know what is on the table?

There is always an allergen, contents and provenance sheet provided. If a table has a certain ‘special diet’ product amongst the other produce it is discreetly labelled.

Do you cater for special diets?

Yes, each table is bespoke, special diets can be catered for. I can create halal, vegan, gluten free and dairy free tables. It’s up to you!

Can you theme the table?

Absolutely! Any theme is possible or if you want a general ‘feel’ in keeping with the rest of the decor that can be done too. All my tables are rustic, seasonal and use recyclable material where possible.

Children’s Cooking Parties

I will travel to you or a venue of your choice within London and the Home Counties. I will need parking for one vehicle close to where the party is being held.

How many children can I invite and what ages?

I can run parties with up to ten children. Children as young as 3 can participate, as long as parents or carers are around to help out (which there would be anyway with 3 year old’s I would hope)!

What equipment do I need?

An oven, enough chairs and a table to seat the number of children at the party, running water.

Do I need to provide party food?

The children eat the pizzas they make as their meal and I bring a crudites platter with me for the healthy bit. You may want to bulk the meal out with crisps/fruit etc but it’s usually not necessary.

Can you cater for specific diets?

Yes, I can cater for any special diet at the parties.

Do I need to provide party bags?

No, give yourself a break! I bring with me special cupcake boxes and each child takes home 4 cupcakes they have decorated as a party bag.

Have you been DBS checked?

Yes I have. If you would like to speak to any parents of children I have worked with please let me know and I will put you in touch with a range of people if necessary.

Who keeps the food we make?

All the food the students make is yours to keep and most of it will be suitable for freezing. Each week the students will cook a family meal (according to the size of your family) plus accompaniments.

How can I ensure that the students are learning?

For each session, I put together a comprehensive recipe and method sheet. They will tell you all about how they made the food when you sit down to eat it together!

Email me or get in touch via social media. I would love to hear from you! We have a chat about the kind of thing you are looking for and I will come up with a plan. Once you are happy we go ahead and book in the date. Easy as that!
